"Jump 40 Spots in Grade Rankings in 2 Weeks!" is a good sample of how a human
mind, body and inter-relations with their external and internal worlds are one integrated
system. By strengthening each part, we can take a person to a whole new level.
The following are some typical cases about human software, health and stress of our
integrated system. For more cases, please read "Utilize, Eliminate & Transform Your
Stress," "How to Take Charge of Your Health, Control Medical and Subsequent Costs,"
and "How Should CEOs Deal with Stress." All these cases are taken from Free Your
Potential & Protect Your Success by the founder.
Case 1. Inferior Inner Self vs. Parents
One friend’s mother was a teacher, and died of cancer recently. My friend told me that
her mother was very diligent-- she prepared different meals every day at home, and was
the best teacher at school. Her father regretted that he did not take good care of her
mother … As my friend went on, something came into my mind, so I asked whether her
mother was beloved by her grandparents. The answer was no. Who would see doctors
or employee assistant for not being loved by parents? However, this very matter has
hastened her mother's death.
Her grandparents gave all their attention to her uncles. The unfairness of her grandparents
made her mother feel inferior to others. She tried to be “better and better” to gain their love.
The same “problem solving” led to similar results in her work and life. Her husband was not
motivated to do things at home, which made her trying even harder. She was not promoted
in school. Those teachers who looked “not so great” due to her could not understand that
she worked so hard somehow was because she did not feel good enough about herself.
Long time internal struggle could cause tremendous stress that could harm her mind and
health, including her immune system. When the chemotherapy did not seem promising,
she wanted to die, not to “waste” her family’s money, and she did die quickly.
We all long for parents' love, which is healthy when the parents are reasonable; otherwise,
the longing can become an internal limitation like in this case. She needed to understand
that it was not her fault to be treated unfairly, and she deserve all the love. She needed to
break the limitation and rebuilt a healthy and happy inner self that felt equal to others.
There are ways to install The new “software.” Unfortunately, she did not get all the help
she needed.
People usually don’t see doctors or employee assistant for inferior inner self resulting from
parents’ unfairness, for they don’t think this is a problem. To sharpen your insights into
yourself and others not only enables you to prevent losses, succeed more, but also save
your life.
Case 2. Too Stressful, I Cannot Sleep
A CEO suffered newly onset insomnia due to her business and poor economy. Neither her
personal relaxation hierarchy nor sleeping pills could work. It was the feeling of insecure
stressed her most. Poor sleep is one of the common symptoms of stress. Sleep is very
important to our decision making, memory, productivity and wellness.
Until her business thrived, the CEO would not have the “real” sense of security, which could
take time. However, she could use her faith as the sense of security, and eliminate the
stress “technically.” There are over several ways of installation. She chose self-hypnosis
and placed her faith as “the sense of security” directly into her unconscious. Afterward, she
has been sleeping like a log every night. Her business has grown bigger and bigger.
Life is full of unexpected change and stress. Strong stress management training is even
more important at times of extreme crisis, where the level of stress is highest. Being able
to protect your potential and success from life challenges is essential to stay ahead. At
The Prince Synergy, we not only sharpen your insights, help you utilize full resources, but
also enable you to sustain your potential and success from life challenges.
Case 3. Be Fair to Yourself at Times of Failure
An attorney was well known at local and state levels, but he not only took his loss on
himself very hard, but also on his clients. Both can harm his business and himself. We all
have to take calculated risks sometimes. How to treat us at times of failure can mean
moving forward or self-destruction.
I asked what he would do if doctors had done their best but could not save his family. His
answer was normal, “as long as they did their best.” I had a chance to present his work to
a preeminent attorney at Los Angeles. The Los Angeles attorney said that his paperwork
was the best that could be done. I told him the result; the attorney was in silence. Did he
do his best in those cases he lost? His answer was yes.
Many of us allow everyone else except themselves to learn from their mistakes. Like
everyone else, we all need and deserve fairness as long as we have "done our best."
Sometimes it is easier to treat us as one of others. After several times practicing, the
attorney was able to react to his failure properly.
“Be fair to yourself” is extremely important to those victims of neglect, psychological and
physical abuse. No one on the earth deserves abuse and misery. However, if you don't
stand up for yourself, who will? If not now, when?
Case 4. Take Charge of Your Health and Life
This May, my classmate’s 18-year son had "falling throat" and later was choked. She and
her husband did not know what to do but first gave their son 2 tablets of antibiotics, and then
called 911. When an ambulance arrived in 10 minutes, their son already died.
Recently Forbes talked about security for CEOs and executives, which mainly includes
personal security, home security, and corporate jet. This is important external protection.
Everyone, including this group, also needs internal security. In addition to strong stress
management, we also need to be able to take charge our health and life.
Can we totally count our health on doctors? No. First, we may not have the time to get to doctors, like in the above case. Had the couple properly recognized the danger of the "falling
throat" and took their son to hospital, their son would have had professional help when he
could not breathe. Had they known how to do CPR (Cardiac-Pulmonary-Resuscitation), their
son might have been able to make it to hospital.
Are life and recovery guaranteed in hospital if we do have the time. Unfortunately, the answer
is "No." After a tragic accident, my mother was sent to hospital. After 5-week intensive care,
her doctors concluded that she would be ventilator-dependent for the rest of her life. I had
never doubted the physicians. Because my mother refused to live on a machine, I chose to
assess her myself and found she did not breathe efficiently. Through a new way of breathing,
my mother was able to get off the ventilator in THREE DAYS! Later in rehab, we were given
poor prediction again. Since we had learned our lesson, we have taken our actions faster and
my mother has been walking and laughing independently again!
Not everyone needs to go to medical school, but we need general and systemic knowledge
about ourselves and different health systems, for example, what costly health mistakes to
avoid, and how to select specialists. We have to be able to stay in charge, for we can face a
matter of life or death, recovery or disability any time.
I am very proud of my classmate. She has recovered from her loss and planed to attend our
hands-on training with her husband, and promote general medical education. Do you have
enough education to take charge of your health and life?
